Lois D. Tubbs, 89, of Belton, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 31, 2017.

Lois was born January 31, 1928, the daughter of Arthur and Ester Honey in Kansas City, Kansas. Lois was the proud sister of three brothers and two sisters.

She married Lilburn Archie Tubbs on April 15, 1944 in Dallas, Texas and they were happily married for forty five years. Together they had six children, Shirley Bone, Dorothy Ruggles, Linda Fair, Barbara Kelley, Lilburn Archie Tubbs, Jr. and Kathy Hale. The family later grew to include seventeen grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren, and eleven great great grandchildren. Lois worked for many years alongside her husband for the Corps of Engineers and later carried on working for Smith’s Grocery, BISD and Walmart. Lois enjoyed spending time with her family, being outside, and watching black and white reruns.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Lilburn Sr., three children, Barbara Kelley, Lilburn Archie Tubbs, Jr., and Kathy Hale; a grandchild; JoeLee Tubbs and a great grandchild, Skylar Tobin.

She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Bone, Dorothy Ruggles, and Linda Fair, a brother Ralph Honey, sisters Grace Roderick and Evelyn Swanson, seventeen grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.

Services for Lois will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with burial to follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Troy. A visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Friday, February 3, 2017 at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
