Carol Marie (Talley) Hallbauer, 74, of Belton passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 in Temple.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, Texas with Dr. Richard Heyduck officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple, Texas with Rev. Darren Walker officiating.
Carol was born on November 16, 1942 in Temple, Texas to Granville F. and Alta Rae (Cardwell) Talley. She grew up in Temple and graduated from Temple High School in 1960 where she was a twirler in the Wildcat Band. Carol married Michael Cooksey in 1960 and he preceded her in death in January 1975. In 1976 Mrs. Hallbauer moved to Fairfield where she owned and operated Carol’s Beauty Salon until her retirement. In 1986, Mrs. Hallbauer married Tom Bonner and he preceded her in death in 2009. She married Les Hallbauer on September 2015 and they were married until she passed away. Mrs. Hallbauer was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.
Carol is survived by her husband Les of Belton, step sons Craig Hallbauer of Holland and Wendell Whiteside of Trophy Club, Texas, daughters Pam Ivison and Kim Mireles of Ennis, Texas, step daughters Kristi Hallbauer and Leslie Ann Hallbauer of Belton, and Amanda Lee of Justin, Texas. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
