Cynthia Jewel Emrick

Funeral services for Cynthia Jewel Emrick, 85, of Belton, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Moffat Cemetery.

Mrs. Emrick died Saturday, April 29, 2017 at her home in Belton.

Mrs. Emrick was born May 13, 1931 in Corbin, Kentucky, the daughter of David and Sarah Mae (Smith) Garland. She married Eugene Lee Emrick August 12, 1950 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.  They moved from Union City, Ohio to central Texas in 1976.  She was a homemaker and a Christian.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997.

Survivors include five sons, Leonard Eugene Garland, Dennis James Emrick, Carl Blaine Emrick, Loren Leondis Emrick and Eric Aaron Emrick; four daughters, Rosanna Lee Honts, Sandra Sue Honts, Kathy Teresa Smith and Lisa Kay Butler; one brother Calvin Van Garland and one sister, Faye Adams; 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.
