Renda Gail (Cooper) Pate, 61, of Belton and formerly of Navasota passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 in Belton.
A private family memorial service will be held on Friday.
Renda was born on May 3, 1956 in Houston, Texas to Thomas and Nadine (Williams) Cooper. She grew up in Houston and graduated from Sam Houston High School. She received her Associates Degree from Angelina College. Mrs. Pate worked for the Devereaux Foundation for Trouble Youth and at Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center before retirement. Renda moved to Belton from Navasota in August of 2016.
She is survived by a son Jason Kelley of Massachusetts, daughters Brandi Sims of Belton, and Shay McDonald of Uvalde, brother Troy Purser of Franklin, Tx., sisters Tammy Greenough of Houston, Cheryl Sanders of Bryan, and Shanna Stryjek of Georgia. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Alayna Kelley, Alexia Gutierrez, Adrianna Gutierrez, and Zack Sims.
Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
