Verlyn Correne Clark

Verlyn Correne (Anderson) Clark, 76, of Little River/Academy passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 in Little River/Academy.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Rev. Kerry Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.

Correne was born on April 18, 1941 in Temple, Texas to Carl and Naomi (Rose) Anderson. She grew up in Temple and later moved to Little River/Academy. She worked for many years at Belco Signs as a secretary. Correne married Raymond Clark. Sr. on September 19, 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1988. She was a member of Ave. T Church of Christ for many years.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by a son Johnny Clark. She is survived by sons Raymond Clark, Jr. and Jimmy Clark, daughter Peggy Sample, sister Fredia Weaver, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 at the funeral home.
