David Randall Haire

David Randall "Randy" Haire, 66, of Belton passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 in Belton.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Shawn Cabaniss officiating. Burial will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Randy was born on November 22, 1950 in Belton to Jack and Lena (Cathey) Haire. He grew up in Belton and graduated from Belton High School in 1969. Mr. Haire enlisted in the US Navy in 1969 and served during the Vietnam War as well as conducting missions to retrieve naval vessels from the Korean War. Randy was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1972. He went to work for the Belton ISD as a project manager and worked for 24 years before retiring in 2014. Mr. Haire married Sue Giles on April 16, 1982 in Belton and they celebrated their 35th anniversary this year.

Randy is survived by his wife Sue of Belton, sons Shawn Cabaniss and his wife Maria and David Brandon Haire and his wife Kristin, daughter Stephanie Cabaniss and her husband Glen, brothers Stephen Haire and his wife Mimi, Gary Haire and his wife Becky, and Larry Haire and his wife Sandra, sister Janice Bedsol and her husband Terry. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Ty Tubbs, Cohan Johnston, Ainsley Johnston, Hunter Haire, Hudson Haire, and Hagan Haire.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
