Memorial services for Joe Dewey Northam, 76, of Belton will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harry Thrasher officiating.

Mr. Northam died Friday, June 2, 2017 at his home in Belton.

Mr. Northam was born in Belton, June 12, 1940 , the son of Charles and Sadie Irene (Hamrick) Northam. He was a lifetime resident of Belton. He married Debra Gayle Scott, September 12, 1979 in Belton. He worked as a Rancher, worked construction and was a welder. He enjoyed participating in the Belton Parade and other community festivals with his Mule pulled covered wagon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, August 3, 2005 .

Survivors include his son Joe Northam and wife Ruthy; two daughters, Chantel Britton of Temple and Misty Leofsky and husband Gary of Belton and two brothers Bill Northam and wife Margaret of Belton and Jack Northam and wife Debbie of Belton; ten grandchildren, Jolynn Boyer, Tasha Northam, Debra Northam, Brittanie Brown, Dakota Britton, Dillion Britton, Brooke Shelton, James Williams, Justin Williams and Destiny Wicks and 10 great grandchildren.
