Graveside service for June Wolfe, Jr., 81, of Belton will be Wednesday June 21, 2017 at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple with Allen Lowe officiating.
Mr. Wolfe died Sunday, June 18, 2017 in a Temple hospital.
Mr. Wolfe was born November 11, 1935 in Mount Olive, NC, the son of June Elmer Sr, and Lela (Miller) Wolfe. He married Dorothy Matthews on March 13, 1960 in Augusta, Georgia.He received a Bachelor’s degree in General Science and Sociology from Wake Forest University and a Masters of Criminal Justice from American Technological University. He was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi Criminal Justice Honor Fraternity.
He served 21 years in the United States Army and retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Following his military service he was a Texas parole officer for 17 years.
He is preceded in death by his son, John Julian Wolfe.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Wolfe, a son June Wolfe, III and wife Cynthia of Belton; a daughter Lisa Cantacuzene of Morgans Point Resort; his twin brother, Gene Wolfe of Surfcity NC; three grandchildren, Matthew Wolfe, Grant Wolfe and Rody Cantacuzene and two nieces, Allene Batchelor and Susan Sartip.
Visitation will be Tuesday June 20, 2017 from 6 to 8 at Dossman funeral home in Belton.
