Mary Ellen Armstrong

Mary Ellen (Walters) Armstrong, 78, of Belton and formerly of Killeen passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 in a Belton Nursing Home.

Mary was born on June 5, 1939 in St. Pauls, North Carolina to John and Flossie (Watts) Walters. She was raised in St. Pauls and graduated from St. Pauls High School. Mrs. Alexander moved to Killeen in 1968 and lived there until 2015 when she moved to Belton. Mary owned a child care center from 1972 until her retirement in 1999.

She is survived by two daughters, Rene Havens of Killeen, and Yvonne Alexander of Killeen; two grandchildren, Brianne Blevins and her husband Michael of Round Rock, and Matthew Huff of Temple, as well as a great grandchild, Isa Belle Blevins.
