A Memorial service for William "Bill" Robert Deichmiller, 81, of Temple, will be held on Saturday, July 8,2017 at 10:30 AM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Rev. Ron Milne officiating.
Mr. Deichmiller passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 in a Temple hospital.
Mr. Deichmiller was born on August 4, 1935 in Rochester, New York to Henry and Grace (Walker) Deichmiller. He grew up and attended school in Rochester. He joined the Navy in 1952 and served until 1956. William married Marilyn Breitung on September 18, 1954 in Ontario, New York. He moved to Temple in 1978 and was a longtime carpenter, working on numerous commercial projects in the area for Quinn Construction, retiring in 1998. He volunteered at the Highland Lakes Camp and Conference Center for youth in Spicewood for many years and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn of Temple, son Chuck Deichmiller of New York, three daughters, Catherine Knowles of Austin, Marian Deichmiller of Austin, and Lisa Schwindt of Belton, brother, Richard Deichmiller of Jacksonville, Florida, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 710 N. 6th, Waco, Texas 76710.
Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
