Billy Joe Humphrey

Billy Joe "Bill" Humphrey, 79, of Rhome, Texas and formerly of Belton passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 in a Decatur hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Humphrey will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Randolph officiating. Bill was born on October 21, 1937 in Belton to Paul and Alice (Schumate) Humphrey. He was raised and attended schools in Belton. Mr. Humphrey worked as a surveyor for Goodson Engineering in the Dallas area for many years before retiring. He was a champion bull rider and is a member of the Bell County Rodeo Cowboy Ring of Honor.

Bill is survived by his son Paul Humphrey of Rhome, daughter Stacey Gates and her husband Jim of Rhome, and two sisters, Charlotte "Toad" Levy of Dewing, New Mexico and Johnnie Borden of Cleburne, Texas.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
