Carolyn Kay Scott

Carolyn Kay (Shuler) Scott, 71, of Belton passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in Temple.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at North Belton Cemetery in Belton with Rev. Billy Johnson officiating.

Carolyn was born on September 23, 1945 in San Antonio to Woodrow and Ruby (Baird) Shuler. She was raised in Belton and graduated from Belton High School in 1964 where she played basketball and volleyball. Mrs. Scott married Everette Scott in 1964 and he preceded her in death in 2012. She worked for Wilsonart from 1973 until she retired in 1987, and later worked at All Sports Trophy. Carolyn was a longtime member of Miller Heights Baptist Church in Belton.

Carolyn is survived by her sons Bruce Scott and his wife JoAnna of Belton, and Steven Scott and his wife Lisa of Belton, daughters Darlene Casilhas of Belton and Jeri Lynn Underhill and her husband Scott of Belton, brothers Claude Shuler and his wife Jan of Belton, Lynn Shuler and his wife Ianne of Houston, and Wayne Shuler and his wife Jan of Troy, and sisters Shirlene Taylor of Temple, and Beverly Swick of Granbury. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
