James E. "Nubbin" Freedman

Funeral services for James E. “Nubbin” Freedman, 68, of Temple, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Dennis Mitchell and Matt Albrecht officiating.   Burial will follow at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Belton.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Freedman died Sunday, July 16, 2017 in a Temple Hospital.

Mr. Freedman was a lifetime resident of Texas, born June 15, 1949 in Clifton, the son of Jessie E. Freedman and Floyce Welda (Walker) Freedman. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U. S. Navy. He married Brenda Thompson March 16, 1991 He worked road construction for many years before retirement. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Holland. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, being outdoors and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother John Wayne Freedman.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Freedman, three sons Jerry Freedman, Bobby Freedman and Tony Freedman; two daughters Lorri Schiller and Tammy Freedman; one brother Paul Gerald Freedman and one sister Brendia Jones; 11 grandchildren Coby Kirkland, Niki Freedman, Taylor Freedman, Tyler Schiller, Bailee Freedman, Tanna Freedman, Hunter Schiller, Lindsey Schiller, Kyndall Freedman, Tori Freedman and James Tucker Freedman.
