Lois Adley

Funeral services for Lois Shepherd Adley, 83, of Temple, will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Meadow Oaks Baptist Church in Temple with Rev. Lillian Hinds and Ahmed Aquino officiating.   Burial will follow at the Holland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 PM Tuesday, at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.

Mrs. Adley died Sunday, July 23, 2017 in a Temple Hospital.

Mrs. Adley was born February 12, 1934 in Davilla, the daughter of Jesse Thomas Shepherd and Verlia Mae (Boyd) Shepherd. She graduated from Holland High School. She worked for many years at the Bell County Clerk’s office. She was a long time member of Meadow Oaks Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School secretary and for 30 years was the Church Clerk.   She was a faithful member of the Holland Seniors Monthly Pot Luck Luncheon.

Mrs. Adley is survived by her son Clyde Adley of Austin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie and Marilyn Shepherd of Belton and David and Dorothy Shepherd of Frost and sister-in-law Doris Garrett and several nieces and nephews.
