Carolyn Sue Colburn

Carolyn Sue (Leslie) Colburn, 76, of Morgans Point passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Morgans Point.

A memorial service for Mrs. Colburn will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Pastor Ben Hitzfield officiating.

Carolyn was born on September 7, 1940 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Barton and Lorraine (Williams) Leslie. She was raised and graduated high school in St. Joseph, Missouri. Mrs. Colburn graduated from nursing school and worked for many years as a nurse for homebound children in Florida and the D/FW area. She married Gene Jinson and he preceded her in death. She later married Bill Calloway and he preceded her in death as well. Carolyn married James 'Jim' Colburn on September 5, 2003 in Las Vegas. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Bastrop as well as the local Newcomers Club.

Mrs. Colburn is survived by her husband Jim of Morgans Point, sons Michael Jinson of Mississippi, Terry Jinson of Texas, Terry Colburn of Nebraska, and Leonard Groholski of Texas, daughters Patricia Groholski of Texas, Denise Bosh-May of Florida, Leslie Fear of Texas, Teresa Smith of Texas, Donna Karmen of Tennesse, and Theresa Griffin of Texas. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Scott and White Hospice, 2401 S. 31st Street, Temple, Texas 76508.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
