Joye Lane (Bruton) Faucett, 84, of Belton passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 in Belton.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Rev. Sam Callaway officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Joye was born on September 16, 1932 in Mound, Texas to Troy and Martha (Anderson) Bruton. She was raised in Mound and attended school there. Mrs. Faucett married Houston Eugene Faucett on December 27, 1948 in Flat, Texas and they were married until he passed away in 2010. Joye worked as a secretary for Met Life Insurance Company for 26 years. She moved from Killeen to Belton in 1976 and was a longtime member of Anchor of Hope Church in Belton. Mrs. Faucett was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority as well as the Bell Fine Arts Association.
Mrs. Faucett is survived by her son Bobby Faucett and his wife Cheryl of Godley, Texas, daughter Regina Farmer of Belton, brothers Ronnie Bruton of Mound, Texas and Larry Bruton of Keller, Texas, a sister Helen Stovall of Gatesville, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105.
A visitation will be held on Monday from 1-2 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
