Emily Flores Minor, 82, of Belton passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in Temple.
Funeral services for Mrs. Minor will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Rev. Elias Morales officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton.
Emily was born on May 23, 1935 in Mexico to Emilio and Apolonia (Dominguez) Flores. She moved to Belton in 1949 and lived here the rest of her life. Mrs. Minor married Saragosa Minor and he preceded her in death on September 12, 2005. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of the Firstborn since 1968. Mrs. Minor also owned and operated Amigos Café in Belton.
Mrs. Minor is survived by two sons, Saragosa Minor Jr. of Belton, and Louie Minor and his wife Sylvia of Belton, seven daughters, Minnie Alvarado and her husband Daniel of Belton, Carolyn Davenport and her husband John of Temple, Irene McLeod of Belton, Rosa Morales and her husband Rey of Belton, Gloria Rios and her husband Jose of Temple, Martha Rodriquez of Belton, and Clara Sanchez and her husband Salvador of Belton. Also surviving is one brother, Ernest Corea and his wife Simone of Dallas, a sister Juanita Trevino of Monterey, Mexico, 38 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
