Laura (Cockrell) Griffin

Funeral services for Laura M. (Tiny) Cockrell Griffin, 80, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, October 9, 2017, at the Belton Church of Christ with Ministers Ritchie Hamm and Tommy Bever officiating.   Burial will follow at the Moffat Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday at the Dossman Funeral home Chapel.

Mrs. Griffin was born January 7, 1937, in the Sparta Community. She was a graduate of Salado High School. She worked for 30 years for Lone Star Gas Company and retired in 1995. She married Lou Griffin, Sr. February 16, 2013 in Belton.

She was a long time member of the Belton Church of Christ where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Study and kept church attendance records. She was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, volunteered in local nursing homes and was always caring for her neighbors.

Survivors include her husband Lou Griffin, Sr. of Belton, son Lou Griffin, Jr. of Temple, two sisters Margaret Pazik and husband Tony of Pflugerville and Elizabeth McLane and husband Drayton, Jr. of Temple; four grandchildren and spouses Erica and Joss Logue, Joshua and Becky Griffin, Kayla and Brian Bates, and Colton Griffin and 11 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Belton Church of Christ Building Maintenance Fund.
