Doris Ward

Doris (Hodge) Ward, 96, of Salado passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at a Temple Nursing Home.

Graveside services for Mrs. Ward will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Salado Cemetery in Salado with Glenn Hodge officiating.

Doris was born on December 8, 1920 in Belton, Texas to John and Martha (Killingsworth) Hodge. She was raised in the Belton area and graduated from Belton High School. She married Thomas Ward on August 10, 1942 in Bakersfield, California and he preceded her in death in 1988. She worked in the records department at Scott and White Hospital for 27 years and later for the Bell County Records Department for 10 years before retiring. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Salado.

Doris is survived by her nephew Billy Rosser and his wife Sharon of College Station.
