Dorothy "Dot" Mae Hays

Private Family services for Dorothy Mae “Dot” (Crouch) Hays, 90, of Belton, were held.

Mrs. Hays died Monday, November 6, 2017 , in a Temple nursing home.

Mrs. Hays was born June 10, 1927 , in Texas City , the daughter of Harold Browning Crouch and Ruby Gandy Crouch.   She married James ‘Jim” Hays August 8, 1950 in Belton.   Mrs. Hays worked for several years doing secretarial work at the Bell County Courthouse. She was mostly a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church Salado.

She was preceded in death by her husband November 30, 2014 and son, Jim Hays in 2003.

Survivors include her daughter Rue Hays of Temple and five grandchildren.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of funeral arrangements.
