Funeral services for Kenneth “Ken” Marshall, 68, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 13, 2017, at the Belton First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Derek Whitten officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood, Texas.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church Monday.
Mr. Marshall died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Marshall was born September 20, 1949 in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of John William Marshall, Jr. and Thelma Elizabeth (Bryant) Marshall. He married Judy Oswood, May 1969, in Brownwood. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the US Army. He served as a minister for the Nazarene Church in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. He worked for many years as a registered nurse. They moved to Belton in 1993. He was a faithful member of Belton First Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Judy (Oswood) Marshall of Belton; two sons Tony Marshall and wife Theresa of Beebe, Arkansas and Terry Marshall of Belton. One sister Martha Gabhart and husband Mike of Harrodsburg; one brother-in-law Sam Oswood of Brownwood. One granddaughter Amanda Brown; two great grandchildren, Tyler and Austin; also two nieces Ashley Giroux and Rachel Gabhart; and two nephews Bradley Oswood and Joe Gabhart.
