James David Martinson

Service for James David Martinson, 73, of Temple, will be 11 AM Friday November 17, 2017 at Taylor's Valley Baptist Church in Temple with Jared Burt officiating. Mr. Martinson died Sunday November 12, 2017 in a Temple hospital.

The family will receive friends for visitation starting at 10 AM on Friday November 17, 2017 at Taylor's Valley Baptist Church in Temple.

He was born June 17, 1944 in Belton, Texas, the son of James Everett and Willie Mae (Whitley) Martinson. He married Johnnie Martinson on May 21, 2011 in Temple, Texas. Mr. Martinson was retired from the U.S. Air Force and the U.S.P.S. and was a member of Taylor's Valley Baptist Church for many years.

He was preceded in death by a wife, Bonnie Lee Cullum Martinson, a sister Lane Kelley, and a daughter Michelle Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Martinson; three sons, Mike Martinson and wife Lynda, Jeff Martinson, Mark Martinson and wife Amy; two children by marriage, son, Jacob Hairell; daughter, Rachel Hull and fifteen grandchildren, Noah, Jordan, Rielly, Megan, Kevin, Lexi, Logan, Berkley, Landon, Easton, Asher, Emmy, Austin, Mason and Kamryn.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.

Dossman Funeral Home of Belton is in charge of arrangements.
