Billie Eugene Binion, 93, of Morgans Point passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

Funeral services for Mr. Binion will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Pastor Larry Harmon officiating. Graveside services with Military Honors will take place Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Bill was born on July 18, 1924 in Bonham, Texas to Dellas H. and Berdie (Adcock) Binion. He grew up in Truscott, Texas and graduated from King High School. Mr. Binion enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1943 and served as a radio operator during WW II. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal with three Bronze Battle Stars, The Air Medal Distinguished Flying Cross, as well as other awards. After the military, Mr. Binion worked in the textile industry and owned a furniture store in Corpus Christi before moving to Morgans Point in 1983. He married Cherie Jones in 1978 and she preceded him in death in 2008. Bill was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Morgans Point for many years and later at First Christian Church in Temple.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tony Wayne Binion in 2006. Mr. Binion is survived by a son Bill Binion, Jr. of Seymour, Texas, daughter Pamela Penny and her husband C.W. of Mesquite, Texas, sister Margaret Harmon of Dallas, Texas, two step sons, Doug Miller of Fairview, Texas and Mike Miller of Des Moines, Iowa, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
