Funeral services for Marjorie Mae Newberry, 94, of Belton, will be held at 10 AM Friday, December 29, 2017, at the Belton Church of Christ with Tom Bever officiating. A private family burial will be at the North Belton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation following the funeral service at the church building Friday.
Mrs. Newberry died, Sunday, December 24, 2017 in a Belton long term care facility.
Mrs. Newberry was born June 14, 1923 in Cisco, the daughter of Jasper Lee Cearley and Ida L. (Spoonts) Cearley. She married James Newberry, October 11, 1942 in Belton. She was a homemaker and a salesperson for The Shoe Box for many years. Mrs. Newberry was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Heidenheimer and Belton.
Mrs. Newberry was preceded in death by her husband, October 13, 2015.
Survivors include one son Jerry Newberry and wife Teri of Chamberburg, Pennsylvania; three daughters Dee Donnelly and husband Ron of Belton, Linda Walker and husband A.J. of Belton and Patricia Martin of Belton. 13 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
