Funeral services for James Blake Schaub, 33, of Dayton, Ohio, will be held at 10:00 AM
Monday, January 8, 2018, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Saucer
officiating. Burial will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday January 7, 2018 at the Dossman Funeral
Home from 4-6 PM.
Mr. Schaub passed Friday December 29, 2017 in Ohio.
Mr. Schaub was born November 16, 1984 in Conroe, the son of Joseph and Linda (Cathey)
Schaub. He lived in Texas until the 5 th grade when he moved to Virginia. After high School
Blake attended New River Community College where he received his Associates Degree then he
earned his Bachelors of Science from Oregon State University.
After college Blake joined the United States Air Force where he was a TACP/JTAC with the 3 rd
ASOS. He was a combat veteran with a tour in Afghanistan. He separated from the military in
2011 but continued employment with the Air Force as a simulator operator for the 3rd ASOS in
Anchorage AK.
Survivors include his parents Joseph and Linda Schaub of Belton; brother Ryan Schaub his wife
Morgan of Wharton TX, identical twin brother Alex his wife Ashley of Xenia, OH, and fiancée
Madeline Carpenter of Beavercreek OH. Grandmother Anna Schaub of Temple; three aunts,
Anita Peters of Janesville, WI, Ginger Nicholson of Fairfield Bay, AR and Lou Minter of
Texarkana, AR; also one nephew and four nieces Jacob, Amelia, Madeline, Isabelle and Sophia.
Numerous cousins and other family members.
Memorials may be made to the U. S. Air Force TACP Association.
