Mary Francis (Brown)Terry, 70, of Morgan's Point Resort, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2018, peacefully in her sleep.
Funeral services for Mary will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church in Morgan's Point with Rev. Don Forrester and Jeremy Franks officiating. Burial will follow at Salado Cemetery in Salado.
Mary was born on February 12, 1947 in Odessa, Texas to Emmett and June (Gill) Brown. She grew up in Odessa and graduated from Ector High School. Mary attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She married Wayne Terry in Odessa on December 21, 1968 and they were married 49 years before she passed away. Mrs. Terry was a highly successful sales person and was vice president of sales for a large metal supply company before retirement.
Mary had a lifelong love of literature, gardening, and the outdoors that she imparted to her daughters and grandson. She loved the Lord and taught bible school most of her adult life. She had a beautiful alto voice and sang with the Maestro Singers of Midland, as well as various community and church choirs. She was in high demand as a soloist.
Mrs. Terry loved cooking for her family, as well as knitting and crocheting and various arts and crafts.
Mary was preceded in death by her father Emmett, mother June, brother Jim Brown and sister Neva Mohle. She is survived by her husband Wayne Terry, daughter Pamela Terry and spouse Charles Flaitz, grandson Morgan Terry, daughter Kimberly Terry and fiancé Rennison Lalgee.
A visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
