Patsy Marie Gordon “Nanny”

Patsy Gordon, 69, of Belton, entered the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 3, 2018 . Mrs. Gordon was born on June 20, 1948 , in Levelland , Texas , to Troy and Velma Blodgett.

Mrs. Gordon is survived by her husband, Thomas Gordon, of Belton, daughter, Debbie Cortes and husband, Robert, of Temple; daughter, Becky Ustanik of Belton; son, Rick O’Banon and wife, Tracy, of Belton; son, Michael O’Banon and wife, Angie, of Belton; sisters Esta Mae Birkhead of Paducah, Texas and Mary Joyce Hester of Cedar Park, Texas; 20 grandchildren including, David and Audrey Cortes, Stephen Cortes, Ashley Callaway and husband, Josh, Lindsey Bailey and husband, Zack, Kaylee Sumerford and husband, Justin, Robert A. Cortes, Leah Dudley, Broden O’Banon, Louie Dudley, Lauren Ustanik, Bailee O’Banon, Kyle O’Banon, Brendall O’Banon, Brady O’Banon, Elizah O’Banon, Ryan O’Banon; and two great-grandchildren, Addison and Lainey Cortes.

Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by her parents Troy and Velma Blodgett.

Mrs. Gordon was a loving wife, devoted mom, and nurturing grandmother. A few words her family used to describe her include humble, affectionate, inspiring, beautiful, comforting, strong-willed, determined, brave, sincere, optimistic and generous. In addition to Patsy’s family, she welcomed and cared for countless children throughout her adult life. Many children in our community were served and cared for well because of Patsy’s serving heart and abundant love. Those who entered her home left knowing that she cared for them and that they were welcome to come back anytime.

A celebration of Mrs. Gordon’s life will be at Dossman Funeral Home on Saturday, February 10, 2018 , at 10:00 AM with Broden O’Banon, grandson, officiating. Burial will be at North Belton Cemetery.
