Memorial services for Christine Mae (York) Mullen, 92 of Belton, formerly of Granbury will be held at 4:30 PM, Friday, March 16, 2018, at the Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Acton with Father Smith officiating.
Mrs. Mullen died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in a Belton Nursing home.
Mrs. Mullen was born October 4, 1925 in Dallas, the daughter of Earl and Alice (Dean) York. She married Fayne Alton Mullen, December 8, 1945 in Dallas. She worked as a bookkeeper and a secretary, but also enjoyed being a homemaker.
She and her husband were founding members of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Kermit where they lived from 1950 until 1967. From there they lived in the Dallas area before retiring to Granbury. While living in Granbury they were faithful members of the Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Acton for 40 years.
Mrs. Mullen enjoyed bowling, playing golf and bridge with her many friends at De Cordova Bend in Granbury.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Rhoda and her husband of 70 years, Fayne.
Survivors include two sons Andrew “Andy” Mullen of Midland, and Tim Mullen of Prosper; two daughters Kandice “Kandy” Kirkley of Belton and Carrie Shipp of Granbury; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
