Ruben Carrasco

Funeral services for Ruben Carrasco, 71, of Belton, will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father John Kim officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Tuesday, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Oscar Valeriano officiating.

Mr. Carrasco died Thursday, March 29, 2018, in a Temple hospital.

He was born July 28, 1946 in Robstown, the son of Ramon and Guadalupe Martinez Carrasco. In 1965 he moved to Belton and married Jesusa Susie Aguilar. He worked for many years at Jones Home and Auto. He also worked at Ruben’s Tire Service and was the truck driver for Los Terribles de Norte. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Guadalupanos.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Raymondo Carrasco and one sister Marie Esparza.

Survivors include his wife Susie Carrasco of Belton; daughter Mary Elaine Carrasco of Belton; five brothers Arnulfo Carrasco of McKinney, Edward Carrasco, Valentine Carrasco, Miguel Carrasco all of Belton and Alfredo Carrasco of Temple; six sisters Alicia Garcia, Gloria Leija, Sally Ybarra, Dora Esparza, Geneva Grando and Margaret Carrasco; five grandchildren Ceceliana Carrasco, Izaih Carrasco, Kellia Brumet, Anthony Martinez and Nathan Carrasco and three great granddaughters, Vivianna, Aliyah and Mariceli.
