Ray Culp

Funeral services for Ray Culp, 90, of Belton will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Moffat Cemetery.

The Family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Culp died Monday, April 9, 2018 in a Temple hospital.

Mr. Culp was born December 20, 1927 in Coryell County, the son of Hob and Tommie (Kitchen) Culp. He married Winnie Baggerly in 1946 in Gatesville.  They have lived in Belton since 1963.  He worked for 26 years for Gillmeister Roofing and then 28 years for Belton School District.

Mr. Culp was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Glenda Grau, brother Hershel Culp and sister Fay Evans and one great grandson.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years Winnie Culp, one son Dwight Culp and wife Nita of Belton; five daughters and sons-in-law Belinda and Bobby Shumate of Preston, Maryland, Clarinda and Larry Wheeler of Belton, Brenda and James Edmondson of Moody, Rhonda and Bob Bills of Burnet and Lorinda and Jason Scarborough of Belton; 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas or the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.
