Albert A. Rodriguez

Albert died Tuesday May 15, 2018 at his home in Temple . He was born July 26, 1947 in San Antonio the son of Francisco S. and Juanita (Alvarez) Rodriguez. He married Sophia Cortez on June 21, 1985 in Abilene . He attended schools in Abilene, and played sports for the Abilene High Eagles. He owned Rod’s Roofing and Remodeling for over 35 years in Abilene and Temple ; he was awarded the Hispanic Business Man of the Year, and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Matthew Dominguez.
Survivors include his wife, Sophia Rodriguez.; three daughters, Missy Avila and husband John, Jennifer Dominguez, and Adria Moore and husband Joey; three brothers, Wally Gutierrez, Benny Gutierrez, and Santos Rodriguez; six sisters, Stella Galvan, Carmen Diaz, Jo Ann Olvera, Doris Loredo, Rebecca Gamez, and Brenda Martinez; his birth mother, Angelita Romero, and seven grandchildren, Ashley Avila, Chris Avila, Christian Avila, Joshua Dominguez, Nicholas Dominguez, Raidyn Moore, and Kayson Moore.
The family will receive friends for visitation Monday evening May 21, 2018 from 6-8 PM with a rosary at 7 PM, at Dossman Funeral Home.
