A celebration of life for Richard Patrick Edge, 59, of Jarrell will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 6:30 PM at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Georgetown with John Aleman, Leo Reyes, and Mike Grisham officiating. Rick passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 surrounded by family in Round Rock.

Rick was born on August 7, 1958 in Germany, the son of Cornelius Vanderbilt and Marjorie Grace (Hickerson) Edge. Rick married Terry Zobel on February 2, 2008 in Georgetown. Rick served in the United States Army National Guard. Rick had a passion for ministry through scripture and especially through his music. Rick was a part of Kairos of Texas for ten years, was a member of the Oasis Church where he was a member of the Oasis Band, St John’s Praise Band (GCDC) and Dolorosa Way Band. Rick worked at Wesleyan Homes for fourteen years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Neil Edge.

Survivors include his wife Terry Edge; two daughters, Jessica Oswald and husband Tim, and Melaine (Nikki) Lawhon and husband Shane; three step children, Anthony Townsend, Danielle Townsend, and Whitney Davis; two brothers, Frank Edge and Tommy Edge; ten grandchildren, Landon Navarro, Riley Lawhon, Logan Lawhon, Kaylee Oswald, Jordan Oswald, Adriana Townsend, Isabella Townsend, Josiah Townsend, Trinity Davis, and Isabella Davis; one great grandchild, Dylan Navarro and many friends and nieces and nephews.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
