Graveside services for Frances Douglas, 95, of Bartlett, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 8, 2018, at the Holland Cemetery with Bruce Mercer officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at the graveside service.
Mrs. Douglas died June 5, 2018 in a Bartlett nursing home.
Mrs. Douglas was born September 3, 1922 in Corpus Christi, the daughter of Claude and Loma (Robuck) Baker. She grew up outside Robstown and moved to Prairie Dell as a teen. She graduated from Salado High School. She married William Harrison Douglas, June 1, 1941 in Salado.
Mrs. Douglas was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Bartlett. She also served as a chairperson for the Bartlett School Museum. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991.
Survivors include one son, Charles “Chuck” Douglas and wife Janice of Belton; one sister-in-law Virginia Baker of Lockhart, three grandchildren - Jeffri Alyson Douglas King and husband John, Kory Charles Douglas and wife Lauren, and Jillian AdriAnn Douglas; five great grandchildren - Sydney Ryan King, Addison Logan King, William Michael Douglas, Emma Nicole Douglas and Baby Girl Douglas. Also three nephews David Wells and wife Annette, Bruce Baker and Brian Baker and a cousin Nancy Robuck.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Bartlett.
