Daniel William Christman

Daniel William Christman, 66, of Temple passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the VA Continuing Care Center in Temple.

A memorial service for Mr. Christman will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Belton VFW Post #4008, 2311 S. Pearl Street with Dr. Allen Lowe officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 2:00 PM.

Daniel was born on July 11, 1951 in Germany to Thomas and Mary (Kummetat) Christman. He grew up in El Paso and graduated from Andress High School in 1969. Mr. Christman entered the US Navy in 1969 and served until 1973 when he was honorably discharged. In 1974 he joined the El Paso Police Department and served as a police officer until he retired in 2002. He then worked as the Federal DOT Agent in Ft. Worth until he again retired in 2006 and moved to Temple. Daniel attended Foundation United Methodist Church in Temple.

He is survived by his mother Mary Clemente of Belton, daughters Rachel Christman-Tidemann of Sterling, Colorado, Shannon Christman of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and Cynthia Christman of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, brother James Christman of Nolanville, and twin sister Jeannette Wilson of Belton. Also surviving are several grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
